Rh null blood is one of the rarest blood type known to man. As its
name suggests, this blood doesn’t contain any antigens in the Rh system
(D, C, c, E and e). It only occurs in a reported frequency of
approximately 1 in 6 million individuals. It’s so extraordinary, in
fact, that researchers have only come across 40 or so individuals on the
planet who have Rh-null blood. Due to its very limited supply and
enormous value, doctors have referred the Rh null as “golden” blood.
